Cosy Thame projects start to take shape

From its start in August 2022, Cosy Thame has launched two projects: Thame Thermal Snapshots and Thame Draught Excluders.

Six households facing fuel poverty are set to benefit from the first draught excluders created as a result of Cosy Thame. Members of A Stitch in Thame have produced them and they’ll be distributed by Thame Citizens Advice.

If you’d like to help produce draught excluders for Thame householders facing fuel poverty this winter, go to Facebook and request to join the closed group ‘A Stitch in Thame’.

More than thirty householders have signed up for Thame Thermal Snapshots. In mid-November when the weather’s cold the householders will be able to see how much heat their homes are losing through bad insulation. Depending on how this pilot goes we intend to reopen the Thame Thermal Snapshots register after November.  Watch this space for more news.

Meanwhile, if you’d like to volunteer to help take Thermal Snapshots please get in touch. And if you run a business and would like to support the campaign, please contact us as we’re looking for sponsors to buy extra equipment.
